<FONT COLOR="e87400">Hey Wildman

Nice effort on the site there,, but.....

It's looks bad.

Gaudy colors,, uncentered & misaligned text,,And reads as though it was written by a romper room dropout.

Back to the drawing board.

You should try to do the alignment repairs yourseld it will help with your html, but as far as your "Marketing" You should get someone else to write that for you. Sometimes as we try to convey what we want to, it is only we whom can understand it!

Keep working on it.

Hey Wild Man,

I think you should take any comments in strand. You asked for opinions. I will give you one. Remove the back ground. You can hardly read the text. Go with white or a soft color with black text.

Good Luck

The back ground color hurts the eyes, the smeared blue look makes the red ride high and to close.Let her keep working with it,maybe a deep bright smooth blue with the red floating out off it.You could add lighter blue bubblies or water drops in the back ground color.Cody,Dan and I are just trying to help you make it look better for your denefit not ours,if your satisflied with it,why ask use.</FONT c></FONT f>

<FONT COLOR="e87400">Sorry but it needed a good slap.

It's a poorly designed page!

If I were hiring a contractor and they sent me that link, I would'nt hire them merely from the looks of that page. I see that and I see a Yugo with a Debelvis pressure washer tossed in the back adn a guy and his pregnant wife hopping out to do the work!

I'm not trying to be confrontational just stating a fact! Some people feel it's rude to critisize, in this case it my save Wildman some future face.

Wildman: It's a fine try at HTML on your daughters part. Please understand I was just critisizing from a customers point of view. For a website to just hop into and read something funny it would be fine, but for a business it is cheap and thrown together looking. Nowdays a website is an alternate storefront to our business. Would you paint & decorate your business that way? Would you layout your contracts with the same alignment & text? No. Your website should be neat & professional just as you would keep your business.

If I had the time I would redo that for you.
In the mean time, I would suggest you just fix the alignment problems, reword it some & change the back ground. Background designs are fine but should most always be very lite in colors with only a hint of design showing through. For text color well you can use almost any, it depends greatly on how your page is set up. Nice thing about back grounds and font colors is you can change em in a second. So set up your page and send to your friends and ask for honest opinions, when everyone says it looks great it probaly is. If you send it to me you know you'll get my honest opinion
wink.gif

If it's any consellation. There are alot of really crappy webpages out there. Espically in this business. Some folks just should'nt self market, they don't have the vocabulary nor the education to form and structure proper sentences. I admit it out right that I suck at it. I do 99% of my own marketing however I send out ALL of my literature to a professional marketing firm to proof. It almost always comes back better, they charge very little for the editing & they make me look like I might have a clue asto what I am doing!

Cody

PS I would be curious to see the page that you paid to have done. If you don't mind showing it send it to me.</FONT c>

In my opinion when you post how much
insurance you have it get's some people thinking wow
that's great he is really insured ,but on the other hand it get's other people thinking wow he's got
a million dollars worth of insurance how can i use that to my advantage, and there are people out there
that will!, I think saying insured is enough, then if your clients want to know how much you have you can tell them.

For those who can't find his website, just click on the picture of the little white house on the bottom of his posting and it will take you to his homepage. I have to admit it took me a while to figure it out.

I hate to be critical, but the background made me Dizzy with all those dark squiggly lines. But the pictures were pretty impressive!

I think you need to start some where and recently I have started my own web page. I like the idea he has a web page and I believe that’s better than not having one. I also believe that’s a positive thing. I would agree that it needs work and maybe just changing the background might make it acceptable. I can see some positive things, I like the photo carousel. I like the way the picture rotate around I think that’s a great idea. The text deal, I’m not sure it’s that’s big a deal. Yes it could be better but I have seen worse. I think for a second attempt and I’m assuming the daughter didn’t charge much just maybe four years of tuition for college totaling about 50,000, you got a steal.

Now on to the other note of business, how you should address the person when you don’t like what they are asking you to criticize. Be professional, there is no reason you need to upset or insult anyone. You could have simply had some positives and some negatives. Certainly when customers are wrong and we are trying to convince them other wise we don’t come at them in the manner Cody did. So why would we want to be sarcastic to someone else and expect the next guy here to be comfortable about posting his question or opinion knowing he is going to be slammed and not professionally criticized. Her is a couple of words to think about class, tact, compassion & respect. I think everyone wants to be treated with plain decency. Lets not except this as well,, he ask for it lets give it to him. Don’t ask if you can’t take it. Some here cant take it for that matter, why should we???????????

There is absolutely no reason anyone should respond that way to and individual of his piers trying to find help. It just isn’t a positive message and wont accomplish anything but bickering. As always just a need to state my opinion professionally.

Cody lets see your site, we know you got one. Why all the secrets? Maybe this is why guys don’t posts their inf. because there only goal in life is to bash others and they don’t want us to have information on where they are located. Making someone post information where they are located I think helps keep people in line. Folks that don’t want to post this information usually are the people that bash others because they get a kick out of it. I have notice that when you have a problem with someone on any bb not just this one people don’t have demographic inf. filled out and they don’t have and e-mail that works, things like this are just stuffed I have noticed.

Reasons why we don’t give this information&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;

Wait because I don’t want my competitors to know where I’m located. Lets get rid of all these fallacies. If you’re doing your job they know where you’re located because you are making their life hell.

If they know its me they I have a disadvantage.

I want to give so much that if they knew where I was I would need to hold back. I love that excuse.

OK, let’s here yours and make it good Cody.

Maybe you want to insult people and your afraid of retaliation. That’s it bingo ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I am very glad that I do not get sea sick, the background is too close to the lettering. Remember a color palet red and blue are separated by purple.

Hey guys ,you all have ignored Dans S. question, where the heck is the site,i guess you all dont have a problem.I cant find a link or adress that will take me to the site either,WHERE IS IT???I would like to look at it too since i have been thinking about my own.Constructive critisism is ok,but there is no sense of putting anyone down.If my daughter designed the site i would like it too and be proud of her.She tried anyway and just learning, come on guys. Now if it was made by a professional.that would be different
