Remote Valve Control

Do any of you have home made remote controls for turning on and off chemicals back at your skids? The commercial ones I found were $1,600.00 and up. Building one doesn't sound to difficult but I'd first like input from those who have tried and succeded at this. The combination of controled items seems broad but all I am currently trying to do is turn on and off the down stream chemical injector so I can get a very low pressure rinse using a large size nozzle.

Thanks Mark. I had remembered some discussion on remote controls from years past but couldn't find them with the searches I made. What about the hook up? I assume I need a solenoid controled valve for 12 volts. Source for this?
