removing bell pans

do any of you guys remove the belly pan from bull doziers if so is it very difficult to remove?do i need any special tools such as air compressor ,really big ratchets and sockets?(here comes the big ?)how much extra do you charge to do this?i was at my mechanic shop having a transmission install and he told me about this earth moving company , he works on the equipment and said the owner was looking for someone to clean but wants the belly pan removed and cleaned .he refuses to work on them until they are cleaned.what chemicals do i use?i hadn't been in buisness that long so this is a biggie for me.can one person remove and replace are should i hire help?

We never remove belly pans. We will open some easy panels, but we require the customer to open the hard places!

Tried to post early this morn but had trouble registering.Cann't tell ya how much to charge on the belly pans cuz I do not offer this service,ya see why.

One person can do this but its alot of hard work for one guy.3/4in.drive,may need cheater bar and a floor jack.These things are heav-E and most are full of oily mud making them even heavier,You can get hurt under there real easy.Most dozers are parked on dirt or grass so your going to get dirty dirty greasy greas-E and if no ones around when you get it washed to move it,you'll be putting them back on in the mud,which is no fun.It could take most of the day missing with the belly pans,depends.Most will take them off for ya just to getem washed out besides his workers has the know how and tools and it would be cheater on him.I add degreaser to my soap mix and spray straight degeaser on the bad spots,except the sheet metal.Good luck..............Adios
