Roof cleaning runoff/on painted cedar

Im going to be pricing a roof cleaning heavy mold job.The home owner also has painted cedar (colored stain) and that also has mold in certain areas.tThey also want the areas cleaned on the siding i know its all or nothing in that sense .Im trying to decide on what to use to clean without damaging the cedar or leaving clean stains from runoff.Bleach and tsp may do it i didnt want to use sodium hydroxide because of its stripping ability of stain.Caught between a rock and hard place.Thanks jim Thanx guys for the answers to my canvas cleaning ?

Jim,
I would mask off the siding with plastic from to to bottom untill through with the roof, then use a week solution of bleach to clean the siding. I wouldn't use any pressure at all on the siding, just spray and hose off with garden hose. Is the siding stained grey? I hope not. I had one last year that the owner had stained grey and over the years the grey stain had been replaced with grey weathering. I had to clean it without cleaning it if you know what I mean. lol.
