rust colored spots on vinyl

HI maybe you gentle men can help me ?. washing a house today with 20 year old siding it was chalky before i started baddly. House already had some rust colored stains on front side . but semed got worse with washing now i THOUGHT IT WAS THE BLEACH BUT i TRIED some pure in an area with no results no rust color showing up . when you scrape the spots with a pocket knife they are white under neath . ??????? been washing 14 years using bleach only mostly through a down loader bout 1 cup per gallon .Like i said the spots where there before but not as noticable .only seen this twice on white vinyl the other time was on new vinyl but only two smALL spots any info appreciated

I don't have experience with this but, how about trying an SOS pad on one of the spots?

Duane try a product called The Works it is good for white vinyl that have rust looking stains.Tried it myself and it worked great, just make sure you keep everything rinsed good and protect the flowers.

No havent tried sos pads but good idea!!!! Who makes {THE WORKS} ? Homeowner happy with job but these two jobs have me asking questions . any body else use clorox on vinyl

Duane, are the rust colored stains located under the weep holes in the siding. Perhaps the stain came from the holes letting moisture. If the house was built when it was real dusty the water coming out will be dirty, thus leaving a stain. Might not be able to get it out.

I have had that happen many times over the years and yoy may not believe this but every single time the stains went away on there own within one to two weeks.The more you mess with them the worse they seem to get.Can't explain it really
