Sealing Vinyl Awnings

Does anyone know of a way to make vinyl awnings shine after they've been cleaned? The sealers that I know of from a couple of different awning cleaning companies are out of the question because of cost (the property manager simply won't spend the money). Basically I need a cheap alternative that will hold up for about two months when we will do them again which should last until the end of football season.

We have been doing them twice a season for about 5 years and I have never been happy with them afterwards. I would have to about quadruple the price to seal them correctly and the manager says "no". Is there anything that will work that won't cost a small fortune?

Thanks,

Tony

We clean awnings pretty regular and after cleaning we apply Armorall, nice shine and protects also. You can get two types : gloss and the one that doesn't shine as much depending on what the customer wants. We do not tell them it is armorall, simply that it's a protectorant and the are happy with that.

There are 12 awnings approximately 650 s.f. each. These are large concession stand awnings in a football stadium. I think whatever I use must be sprayed on (that's what I've been doing, it's just a very cheap sealer) because they are so tall at their peak.

Thanks

I just recently used some of the Winsol sealer on a bank awning I have been cleaning latelly to see how well it would go. The sealer was hard to appyly and when I came back a month later algae was feeding on it and it looked much worse than when it wasn't sealed. I haven't tried it yet but I though the Vivilon would be a good one time solution. I saw it applied to buses and it turned out quite nice. Good luck Jeremy
