Anyone deal with Sealmaxx? They supposedly have a 25 year guarantee. Contacted the company, received some info. It's a $91,000 investment... yep, $91,000. (includes trailer, training, laptop, chemical package)

The average price for a 300 square foot deck (15x20) supposedly sells as follows...

$1,500 for total job

225. sales commission
225. installation
150. materials

That's a $900 profit to dealer

Not many customers here will pay $1,500 for their 15x20 deck to be washed /sealed here. We can have a pressure treated one built for $3,000.

There are some very questionable practices going on with the SealMaxx franchise. On other bbs, I have read CUSTOMER dissatisfaction post after post after post. It's a petrification process, not a sealer. You apply a sealer on top after you treat the wood with the stuff. Franchise in our area started at $72K and after further research, I'd never even consider the stuff.

Just my .02,
