Seatbelts ( A Tragic Wake Up Call )

I hope my friend and our fellow power washer won't mind if I post his email he sent to me today, and my response. There is truly nothing I can do to soften the blow, other than show my support and help pass the word on the importance of SEATBELTS

Our beautiful 17 year old daughter was tragically killed last night in an auto accident. Her car went off the road, rolled and ejected her, and she was crushed. Please ask for prayers for her and our family, and express the importance of wearing safety restraints at all times to all those you know.

Wow,

I am very sorry for you and your family. We will definitely pray for you. You are obvious a very strong person to have taking the time to write this letter today. I know as hard as the outlook of the future looks, you and your family will find a way to work through this tragedy. Todd, Please if I can help you in anyway, even if it is something as small as a shoulder to lean on. I am here for you.

Our family will be praying for your strength.

Dan,

Kindly tell Todd and his wife my wife and I are with him in this tragic time.

Such a young age to have her future taken away.

Our sympathy to them.

The prayers of my family will be with Todd and his family during this time of tragedy and loss. My wife and I lost a son very suddenly and unexpectedly in 1994. Our hearts will be heavy for them during this time.

Todd,

When I read that post about your daughter, it felt like someone reached into my chest and grabed my heart and squeesed as hard as they could. The pain of remembering can sometimes be as painfull as going through the real thing all over again. There are no words that can explain how I feel right now. I know there are no words that can comfort you. I lost my oldest son in 1984. He turned 19, the day the drunk driver killed him. Todd, I,m really sorry for your loss. My wife and I will be praying for you. Take care and my god bless each and every one of you. If I can be of any help to you, you have my phone number.

Todd, family and anyody that reads,
I have only talked with you once in the chatroom late one night, but GOD does everything for a reason, although is doesn't seem fair at times. She has gone to a better place and Jesus is holding her hand now. If we all live our lives right, we will be there one day and see all our loved ones that have passed on. My prayers are with you and your family during this tough time. May GOD be with you.

I add my deepest sympathies to the above expressions. As a father, I also choked up to think that this could and does happen. I also agree that this is an extreme test of faith, and for a certainty God is not at fault. We look forward to that time when families will be reunited in joy and love. Thank you for caring about us to offer that strong reminder about safety. By extension, we need to apply it also to the way we go about the work we do as well.

I lost my grandfather to liver cancer in December, he was my best friend in the world and I miss him everyday. Hopefully your daughter and my grandpa are sharing a laugh right now while they are looking down upon us. Here is a tribute for your little one:

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me,
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss.
Ah yes, these things I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much.
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lenghten it with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me
God wanted me now He set me free.

One day you will see eachother again. Life is so short. God bless you and your family.

I lost a beautiful 10 year old nephew and the most wonderful sister-in-law in the world 2 1/2 years ago, they were both killed instantly when a vehicle doing over 60 mph "T-Boned there vehicle" in an intersection, If I could share with you, the one thing that helped us, its our faith in God and in our Lord Jesus Christ, He showed me a couple of verses in a way that I never saw it before and it's Philippians 4:6,7 "Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." I now understand that by being allowed to know them, God through them made me a better person, and I'm thankful, I know that one day my son and daughter are going to see there most favorite aunt and best friend, my niece is going to see her mother and only brother, my wife is going to see the 2 people she misses most in this life and like you Todd when we get to heaven we are going to rejoice with them like never before, that is what keeps us going, and I believe that is what is going to keep you and your family going, hope and faith in God, thats all that we have. I apologise if this seemed long winded. You and your family will always be in our prayers.
Our deepest sympathy,
Richard and family
