Send your Business Card

The Make-A-Wish Foundation has asked us to participate in a request that a business card from your company be sent to Craig Sheppard at the address below:

Graig Sheppard
C/o Make-A-Wish-Foundation
30 Perimeter Center East
Atlanta, GA 30346

Craig is seven years old and has a brain tumor. He has little time to live. He has contacted the Make-A-Wish Foundation expressing his desire to have an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records, for the largest collection of business cards for an individual. This is more difficult than it appears. He is only allowed one business card from each company.

We are excited to be a part of Craig’s wish list. Please submit one card from your business, then retype this letter on your company letterhead and send it to 20 companies of your choice. Time is of the essence!! Please join us and together we can make Craig’s wish come true.

Thank you for your participation!

That's to bad someone would play a joke like that. To me there is no room for a joke like that. I was getting excited to be a part of it too. :)

Thanks for sharing this with usa Dave. Your intentions are always good.

I just wanted to clarify that there is some truth to the story. There was a child named Craig Sherhold (not Craig Sheppard) who was very ill and did have a wish to enter the Guiness Book of World Records with the most business cards. He eventually did set the world record, fully recovered and is now a grown man in his late 20s.

The reason I know this is because there was a movie on tv some time last year about Craig's life and the stories that have been going around about him. They stressed in the movie that the record was set a long time ago and requested that everyone stop sending their business cards since he was being so overwhelmed with them.

It's unbelievable how long this story has been around. I can remember getting a chain letter through snail mail about 10 years ago. Now with email, it's so much easier for the story to spread around and has gotten out of hand.

At least the story had a happy ending.
