Slate roof cleaning?

I have a job to bid on cleaning a slate roof. A think that the sodium hypochloride mixture I use for cleaning asphalt shingles will work, but just checking to see if there is anything else. The slate has mainly mold and some orange/brown fungus on it. I'm not sure if just the chemical will work here. Also, I am looking for advise on walking on the roof. Can anyone help me.
