Snow in the South?

My southern friends,

How are you coping with the snow?? Should I hook up my snow plow and plan a road trip down to plow you out??

I down here in Williamsburg, Va and they say we are going to get hammered with about a foot of snow. Come on down and plow it out for us. I came down here 22 years ago from western PA and when it calls for snow, everyone goes to the grocery store and stocks up. Almost everything comes to a standstill untill it all melts.

It snowed 3-7" here in middle Georgia yesterday and when that happens the whole world comes to a screeching halt. Its pretty funny. Grocery stores get raided, everything closes, its the biggest story on the news, and our Northern "transplants" complain about bad southern drivers. I don't blame 'em though...Southerners can NOT drive in the snow! In any case, it gave me time to play a game or two of chess.

Maybe you and I both should take a trip down south. It sure isn't a profitable snow season this year so far... Maybe this Sunday!

Snow down South

Hey it snowed 4 to 6" here in South Carolina. That is a lot for us since we don't see snow but once in every 10 to 12 years. Just about all business shut down when they think its going to snow. Wal-Mart was only store that stayed open. But, it is sat. people or moving again. I'm getting calls to wash salt off everything. So, it not all bad. )

Snow in the South

I'm up here in Pittsburgh and we don't slow down for anything until it's over a foot or more. I'm just glad we are four hours from Buffalo, seven feet would have caused some problems here. Buddy of mine lives there and he has a plow, but he says he had to climb out his second story window just to get to the garage and he couldn't get the truck out once he got there. So much for the plowing business up there I guess...

I'll admit it, I am bored stiff, got all the paperwork done for taxes, built a wardrobe hanger for the "boss". Snow suppose to arrive tonight, at least I can go up and down the street with my snow blower for something to do.
