Steel Eagle help

Just assembled my new Steel Eagle surface cleaner.

Can someone please advise on how to set up the hose/handle so that I can attach a wand and trigger and not have to shut down the machine to switch between the cleaner and a wand?

I'll attach a couple pics, too.

Bryan,

A common technique is to thread the 1/4" MPT hose fitting in to the 1/4" FPT coupling welded to the handle, then screw in a 1/4" MPT QC Plug on the other side.

You will then be able to uncouple gun and plug the wand in to the gun when needed.

If you do not like that plan you could install a ball valve betwwen the 1/4" FPT Coupling welded to handle and the surface cleaner, then you could have a TEE in place of the 1/4" MPT Plug and one side would connect to your Hose from HP Washer, the other to a 3' to 5' whip hose connected to your trigger gun.

Hope this Helps!

Bryan,

Here is a picture with the hose connected to the
1/4" FPT Coupling, and a 1/4" PMPT QC Plug on the
other side. This is a simple set up you just plug your
gun on to the surface cleaner.
(You need a 1/4" QC Socket on your gun outlet.)

I have mine set up that way right now with a filter first.

I don't like how it works so plan to modify it to be used with straight gun like Whisper Wash does theirs.

The gun moves as you work and I am going though 2 - 3 O rings a night, plus it wears out the plug in 3 month.

They need to change the set up so it easier to hold and connect.

A ball valve would be even more weight on it and I do believe over time it will break off.

My opinion only and others might not agree.

I also believe they are developing a handle more like the Whisper Wash if my sources are right.
