Hi all,

Was checking this link again after being alerted to it last may (they were using our logo without permission) and found Rod has been moonlighting for them. LOL... You would think he washes houses for them looking at the photos.

There are OTHER photos up there that I know I have seen on other web sites...I just can't place which ones. The photos range from houses (vinyl) to decks to cedar homes etc... Some are plain, some are beveled, some are oval, some have drop shadows behind them. Some say before and after on them and are double photos.

Here you go, I'm posting the link. Burns me up that some of us take our own shots and honestly show our work, and others don't even have it in them to ask!

Yes, that's Rod for sure. Hopefully you can get that resolved in the near future.........did you call this company?

Yeah, it's the second photo down on the left. Rod is washing an off white colored vinyl home. If you look on our site you'll see a newer version of it with a bevel and drop shadow. Lately I have taken to adding our company name and some text to our photos so they are less temping....

Tapping into people's sites isn't my style.... :)

It's just strikes me as wrong to do that kind of thing. It's one thing to ask and have permission to borrow something, it's another to outright steal.

I called and the guy is not in the office. I left a message. I'll call again later if it's not gone.

Some of those shots I KNOW I have seen on other sites... I wish I could remember whose sites. :(

Beth,
That Picture with the Cedar House's before and after(Stained/Sealed) comes From a company called Long Island Powerwash. There site is located at www.lipw.com

Besides the Picture of Rod cleaning the house I don't know who's picture of the Before and after shot of the Vinyl house is.

My Company being from Long Island, I have no idea who owns that site that is promoting LI Companies(For a fee I'm sure). I never even heard of them before.

Is there any Legalities as far as someone using a photo taken off the Net to promote there Business I would think there is. Is it worth Pursuing?? That is yet to be determined.

Keep trying to see if they will remove that picture of Rod or at least Compensate you (This is wishfull thinking) for using it.

If you think I can be of any assistance shoot me over an e-mail or call me.

I may just do that....
Actually, if a person is in the photo, you must have their expressed written permission.

I think you have to tap in this guys back yard and get some of his business if he has any. Apparently he can't do as a good job as you guys. Good luck on resolving this problem. Beth, why don't you post on Greggs board?

If he's that crooked, you're better off with a new name and company image. If he's really tarnished it that badly... and you can be creative about it. Companies do it all the time. Set yourself as far apart from him as you can. Create a press release, come up with a marketing piece about the new comapny name and image, and VIOLA! He's a non-issue.
Beth
p.s. if you have not protected your name there isn't one thing you can do about it. That's why ours is Federally Trademarked.

Yes he does. He has a couple of sites, some are not working properly. I have heard from others who have been burned by him too. You're not alone. Other people, honest, hard working good people, up there by you are having proplems too.

Sometimes fighting fire with fire only makes a bigger fire. Use water and end it. If he's riding your coat tails, put on another coat. A better coat. Protect your photos with company name, and logo (see our site and others I built). Build a new image that sets you so far apart that it won't even matter.

And if you want some help with it, let me know. It's right up my alley.
