Streaking on gutters (how to clean off)

I am just starting doing some pressure, the problem I am having is on the aluminum used for gutters and decorations above the garage door. There are black/grey streaks running down, all I have used so far is sodium hypoclorite and it does not remove those streaks.

Any suggestions as to what to use to remove these streaks?

Thanks!

Unless the molds and mildews are of a different biological makeup on planet "Someplace", mix your sodium hypochloprite with soap about 4 gal soap, 1 gal sodium hypochlorite. Downstream it or x-jet it, and let it dwell for about 10 minutes. Not downstreaming? Mix it 3 gal soap, 1 gal sodium hypochlorite, & 1 gal water, aplied with a pump up sprayer. Dwell time is the same. That should do the trick.
Bleach alone won't do it. It won't stick to the surface long enough to get it done. The soap helps it clean and stick to the surface.
That's what works for me, anyway. I've not encountered a problem yet.
Some people go for a product called "gutter zap"

If that fails you will need to use a butyl based degreaser. Put some in a bucket and brush it on, be careful not to get it on other things and keep the dwell time short.

Thanks again for the help, I was using just water & sodium hypochloprite, did not have any soap in it. I will try the it with the soap added, any particular soap works best?

You can add 1/4 cup of cheap dish soap for cling. Be prepared to use degreaser as ther wil most likely be shadows of the streaks left.

Just one more question

grsshawg you said "mix your sodium hypochloprite with soap about 4 gal soap, 1 gal sodium hypochlorite. Downstream it or x-jet it, and let it dwell for about 10 minutes. Not downstreaming? Mix it 3 gal soap, 1 gal sodium hypochlorite, & 1 gal water, aplied with a pump up sprayer."

My question is about the 4 gallons of soap is that 4 gallons of water with 1 cups of liquid soap (1/4 per gallon). Is it dish detergent or clothes washing detergent?

Thanks again this is a big help!

Simple Green

The best thing that has worked for me so far is simple green. There is almost no dwell time. Just brush on and rinse off.

I think you need to do a little research on soaps for professional pressure washing. The soap I'm referring to is professional grade stuff that can't be found at a home improvement retailer, or Wal-Mart. You said you were just starting. Search this bb, and you'll find many answers to your questions that you may not have to ask.

I have to agree with ELite....Simple green is the most universal cleaner that i have ever seen. I use it for all my siding jobs as wel as the gutters
