Surface Cleaners

Hey,

I need a new surface cleaner. My whisper wash locked up after 5 years. Actually 4 then I replaced the swivel and bar which barley lasted a year. I do recommend a new whisper wash. But don't waste your money on replacement parts.

Whisper Wash sent me a bad replacement bar and the swivel died with less than average use for the year. Also their customer service is terrible. When I complained about the bad bar they sent me. They said it was impossible the bar could be bad and did nothing to make the situation right.

So I used the new swivel and my old bar.

Great product new, but replacement is not worth it. So I have a few questions. If you have time please tell me in detail your thoughts on what you’re using.

  1. What kind do you have and how do you like it?
  2. What size is it?
  3. How much power do you have behind it, meaning GPM, PSI & Engine HP ?
  4. How old is it?
  5. How fast can you move and so on?
    [/list=1]

    Thanks Everyone

I have a 21" inch 2 nozzel bar mosmatic floater.
5.6 GPM 3000 psi 18hp 3 yaers old /200hrs

I do mostly samll areas so never really timed per sq ft. but I can do a 60 ft double car drive way in about an hour and I usually 2 step with degreaser on the first couple of squares from the house.

It tends to be a little heavy to lift up enough so it takes a slight bit of lift from the ole arm to get the best results. Small areas this is not that big a deal.

Dan, we have several Landa WaterJets and love them. Only problem I've ever had was busted wand arms from hitting an uneven sidewalk corner or a curb at the wrong angle, it's rare though to see that happen. The extra wand on the side of the cleaner is great for corners and areas you can't reach with the cleaner. It's expensive but it's a great machine.

I decided a long time ago that my next surface cleaner will be a Landa Water Jet. I like the idea of the wand being right there. Although, with a little creativity, I suppose you could easily add that feature to any surface cleaner.
