I am intersted in purchasing one
I do a lot of flat work
Is it worth the extra money???
I do not think they will remove gum or do they?
Is it faster just to use the wand when you can into contact with gum everwhere??

Also what size 12" 18" 27"

My dealer sells them for 1200.00 and up
is it a good or bad price?
Which manufacture?

thanks for your help

Jack,

1. If you do a lot of flat work their is no question that you need one.

2. You should choose the sized based on the out put of you machine. The bigger your machine, the bigger surface cleaner can be.

3. I would go with 18 or up. You need to have a gpm of at least 4 or higher.

4. I think that a 1000.00 or up is way to high.

If your into building things, Rick from pro wash has a set of plans for a surface cleaner he designed. The cost might be a couple of hundred to build or less. I'm sure he would be happy to send you a copy.

5. You should pay around 450.00 to 800.00 for one depending on the size.

6. As far as manufactures. There are plenty, we have had good luck with Whisper Wash. I think I heard someone say that they did not.

I use a 27in hydro twister from hydro tech and i love it. i would probally be better off with a smaller one for sidewalks to keep from overlapping as much but it works great on larger flat surfaces. you can find a good quality one for around 700-800 dollars. the hydro-twister has a low pressure knob on the top that allows you to spray your detergent but i dont use that function. beware they can not take alot of heat.

I have a 24" Landa. It is small, it is EXPENSIVE, and I don't use it very often. I bought it for a one time job. 200,000 sq. ft. but I really don't use it that often. I would go with a bigger cleaner. at least 30" and I would watch what I get. If it can't take heat then get rid of it.

Rick at pro wash has the plans on how to make your own for around $250.00/300.00. 1200 is really too high, envirospec even has the steel eagle for under a thousand I think..G'Day

(Is it worth the extra money???) Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes
(I do not think they will remove gum or do they?) No, but buy a turbo nozzle or a 0 or 15 degree nozzle for that.
(Is it faster just to use the wand when you come into contact with gum everwhere??) Well if you are doing say sidewalks, I would use the concrete cleaner then use the wand after.

(Also what size 12" 18" 27") I use a 30" Elite. With a 4gpm @4000psi machine. However it's not heavy duty enough. You can forget about ones that are 12", 18", 27" They would take just as long as using a wand to clean with. I don't like the ones with casters instead of wheels either. However, I am just about to buy a Steel Eagle. I heard they do a great job and are very very reliable.

(My dealer sells them for 1200.00 and up
is it a good or bad price?) Bad I can get a Steel Eagle for $835.00 plus 66.00 for (shipping in my area).
Which manufacture? Steel Eagle or Elite but I have not had very good luck with Elite.
But I do about 30,000+ of square foot of flat work a week. Or maybe there just isn't a machine that can handle that kind of work yet. I don't know. Hope this helps you. What are you cleaning if I might ask? Any more questions email me!!!! I have been doing flat work for about 8 years now and love it so I have been around the block. i could not even remember what it was like not having a concrete cleaner. And when mine brakes down I don't go to work. That's How I feel about it!!!!!!! Take care Jaime
