Do they make a tach I can put on my Kohler Command engine.

Yes there is a "Tiny Tach" available that can be put on most engines it also is an hour meter. We sell them but I can not think of what the price is at the moment I will check when I am in the office later this morning.

In addition to the price, are they waterproof? (The one I have will short out the display if it even thinks about getting wet.)

$19.95 that is similar to the Tiny Tach
but it is an hour meter only.

Engine Applications
Can be used on almost any engine. The only limitation is the spark firing frequency must be greater than or equal to 10Hz. As most engines are operating at 20 or 40 spark firings per second, compatibility is not a problem. Easy Hookup

Operation:
The 5 digit display shows the run time of the engine and is initially set to zero, 0.0. When the engine is started, the meter will record the run time in tenths of hours. If 6 minuets (1/10 hour) is run, 0.1 count will be displayed. The display will flash on and off for an hour when the recorded time is 25 hours or in the multiple of 25 hours, i.e.25, 50, 75, ect. Press RESET button by a pointed object can stop flashing at once. When the count reaches 9999.9. It will automatically reset back to 0.0 for the next increment.
