Who sold my phone number?!? Anyone else receive a barrage of phone calls from Texas, Arizona telemarketers selling logo caps, tools, hardware, etc? My company is only on a few mailing lists, most of you are probably on those, too. These guys called at 9:30 - 10:00 pm, then at 7:30 the next morning. I guess the last guy got the message - I haven't gotten any more calls!

Whoever sold it, it wasnt from here...........because I have not received any such calls..........well, no more then usual! :smad:
I am with you GutterUp, been getting lots of calls from AZ asking me to buy tools. Guy acted like my best friend, said i had bought from him before and couldn't believe i didn't remember him. They have called a few times this year, could be more but i usually hang up on telemarketers before they have a chance to tell me who they are.

Maybe it was the few lists you're on???? They may have sold your name and number. Not sure if you're asking if it was from here or not. But as Mike said NO.
Unless you posted it in your signature and someone took it. There are trolls everywhere and they will do some pretty weird stuff for information. Those type of people are lazy and weak.
Like you said, tell off and they wont call back.

About 2 months after we incorporated we were flooded with those type of calls.
When I asked where they were getting our number I was told we had been listed in the "National Directory" for businesses.
But they would call from 7:30 am until I turned the phones off at 5:00
And they were from texas and Arizona as well.
I never answer "Call ID Unavailable or Blocked" myself. And if anyone in the office does they just tell them I'm not available, period.

We have been receiving calls from the Telemarketers in the Southwest for years. Long before Dan set up this board. Where do they get our names? Hard telling but I am very confident that they did not get them from this site or any of the other BBS for that matter!
Now that I think of it, we have been receiving the type of calls you are referring too before the first BBS was started in 1996.

I didn't even think of this board as a source for the marketers, although I guess they could find the info if they wanted it. I was thinking about some chem & equipment dealers that have computer customer lists for their mailings. Just venting, anyway! At least it was a change from the siding and LD phone marketers!
