If you're talking water temp, you don't need hot at all, just whatever temp the water is coming out the spigot.

Now if you're talking air temp, you can wash houses at any temp above freezing, although it can get kind of uncomfortable. Don't forget to make sure your washer is winterized between uses to prevent freeze damage.

the colder

it gets the more chem and dwell time you'll need.
Some people that have problems with chems and dwell times need to think about this. Also remember SH/bleach is activated by sunlight, so on real sunny days you might need less in your mix, compared to real crappy days.

i have washed on days when it was 30 degrees. thank goodness for good ol hot water. without it there would have been no way. i normally would never do this but it was an emergency for a good client.

aluminum seems to be tricky if air temp is less than 50 degrees, even if you heat the water. It depends on the amount of oxidation. Can come out streaked or lined.

Vinyl and wood can be attacked above freezing, just takes longer of chems to work. Watch that glass though, be sure to rinse while the rest dwells
