Debi, last rumor I heard was he had some newbie in there teaching newbie some of the ropes, like how to hang on without falling in!!!!!!!!!

And speaking of real privies, when I was visiting my friend in Georgia we went to one of the many old places there and saw a family privy, had about 4 or 5 holes of different sizes cut into the planking.

What a site that was, little kid to grown folks all doing it at the same time.. must have had a corn field to supply the demand.

Cannot recall the place but it was out near where they had the Olympic tennis games and it is famous for the mountain...

Oh and I don't like sweet tea, I love sun tea but I prefer to sweetin it to my own taste, you Southerners put to much sugar in yours.

'Scuse me? Not all of us sotherners like our tea overflowing with sugar. I like a little sugar, and wedge of fresh lemon!

Yum!

Gosh Beth,

Lemon???

What I know is the English think us Americans are crazy, why because:

We boil water to make tea, then ad ice to make it cold, after that we ad sugar to sweeten it, then we ad lemon to make it sour.

Go figure.

Yeah, well.....there is no accounting for taste. I've been to England. Beautiful country. Wonderful people. I enjoy many cuisines, but English food is waaaaay down the chain. Plus there is that driving on the wrong side thing.....

What's up with that?

Kidding.....

Beth just what is it that you don't like about English food, so it is bland, so they love spuds and drive on the wrong side of the road, the country is beautiful.

the crime rate is low and I don't agree with a lot of their laws, especially where the Queen rules.

My daughter went to college there, she and her hubby spent their honeymoon there too and I love English tea over other types.

New England

Jon,
you could come to New England and work for me...
and I might know where there is a castle in NH....and maybe a dungeon.

The only thing I didn't enjoy about England was the food (breakfast in particular). I too love the tea there. Although I will say I had some excellent French and Indian food while in England.

I was only there for a week, and was mainly in London although we did get out to Brighton beach. That was fun.

It amazes me that the crime rate is as low as it is there. the gardens were beautiful, but I think the people impressed me the most. Very charming, very polite, very hospitable.

Beth

p.s. you're right...we should start a travel thread or something.

Jon,
We had some folks move out here from Californy a few years ago. They bought an old house and asked me to take my tractor and bush-hog over there and clip the pasture for them. After I did that, the lady of the house brought me a glass of tea, fresh brewed sun tea made from the California recipe...not even close to good tea. Had to drink it so as not to hurt her feelings but never again have I drank her tea. She said the same thing about ours, " if you wanted syrup, why didn't you just buy it?"

Clent,

Bet she brewed it and called it sun tea.. but then again not everyone makes the same thing the same way, not just tea but any type of food or drink.

However her remarks are not Californy, they are just down right rude.

I know of people who put butter and sugar on crackers, on peanut butter too.

Just like many love steak sauce on steaks, I don't but that don't make me an outcast, heck I do a good enough job of being different as it is!!!

Cody,

I did mention it belonged in Shoot the bull.

I cannot move just the bull S. part, would have to move the whole post and that is not what we want.

I do take the blame for taking it off track Cody, for that I am sorry.

Debi,

Mike is right, the post was about tricks and stuff and Cody is one who does post good things about computers, it got out of hand and off subject.

Mike did the right thing.
