The Power of Networking

I have a buddy who has his own lawn care business. I have done some pressure washing for him at his home. The buddy and his wife were very pleased with my work. He has since then passed my name on to his regular lawn care customers who have needed p /washing and/or deck cleaning services. Just last week he had given my name to one of his elderly customers who needed his driveway and sidewalk cleaned ( they both were totally black ). After I had stopped by for the estimate appt. and just as I was about to leave, another cleaning company had arrived to give their estimate. ( honestly, I was wondering how I had measured up against the competition ). I heard my customer explain to the competitor that "I had been recommended by his lawn care company operator and that was all he needed to hire me. He didn't even allow the competitor to offer an estimate. I got the job, gave him a good price, great work and he was totally pleased with my performance. I asked him if my work was what he expected, he replied " son, it's better than I ever expected". I'll be going back to his home this spring to do some more work for my new customer. This was a real nice experience all the way around.

Squirting water is only 10% of this business..... I tell all of my crew leaders this. Communications with your customers is what sells !!!!!!
