to Bleach or not to Bleach

The house in question is a painted cynder block structure. This home is located on the east coast and has a lot of mildew covering the home. It hasn't been painted in many years. If I use a bleach mixture, will this mixture do any harm to the painted block ?
Thanks,

No, but watch the plants and grass. If old paint is peeling or cracked is spot. Bring it to the customers attention before you start.

Make sure, if you feel that the paint job is old. That you test for lead. If it is lead paint walk away.

Hi Barry:

You will want to watch you for fading when you use bleach on old paint. If the house is a dark color it will probably lighten noticably. You may even see paint colored run off. Just procede carefully and do a test patch in a small area.

Have fun,
