Hey John...I will take a wack at the quiz.

The reason you go with magnetic vs. wrap is that you sale your trucks all the time. With a magnetic you can just pop it on your new one that you get!!

Is this right...if so....what did I win??????????? :)

Not a bad idea either but a magnet on the truck for long periods of time has a way to mess the paint job up just a hair but a good guess never the less...but ummm no.

K since I really got nothing to give-a-way for this contest I'll just give out my answer. Most of the answers in this thread are plausible but the main reason why I put magnetic signs on my pickup trucks is because you can't have any advertising on the parkways in NY. We can have machines in the bed of the truck but you cant have a commercial vehicle or a vehicle with advertising on our Parkways. Stupid law if you ask me but since its the law we just take off the magnetic signs and keep them in the truck when we need to jump on the parkway.

I was thinking it was something about where you lived, the you couldn't have business equipment in the driveway. Wow crazy law about the parkway.

You can have bolted down business equipment in your pickup truck such as ladder racks etc. Nothing says you can't have lets say a lawnmower back there. This is how crazy the law is here about parkways. You can't have lets say a pickup truck on the parkway that weighs empty around 5600lbs....but you can have a 7000lb pickup dually as long as it has a cap and one chair in the bed that bolted down and has a seatbelt. A Dually like that can be registered as a passanger vehicle yet a pickup truck over aprox 5600lbs with no cap and no seat with belt bolted down in back has to be registered as a "Commercial Vehicle" and NOT ALLOWED ON MOST PARKWAYS IN THE STATE OF NY!!!
My wifes SUV weighs more then my pickup truck but since my pickup truck completely empty fell right under the over limit weight I got lucky.
Another Law that has to be amended for sure here.
