trying the x-jet

I used the x-jet for the first time today. Was able to get a good concentration of chems on the surface.
1. Used a ton of chems. How much do you normally use on a 2 story home. How can I be more efficient?
2. The spray pattern seems to widen and shorten some when the nozzle starts to draw. Is this normal?
3. The nozzle only draws when my gun is parallel or lowered towards the ground. It seems it has difficulty drawing when pointed upwards. Why?
Any feedback as I want to make sure my nozzle is functioning properly. I want to be efficient.

I had the same trougle when I first started using my x jet. I call the guy I bought it from and he helped alot. What size of washer and gpm are you using? I have a 2500 at 3 gph and I needed a differant size orface in it to work right. Mine will start drawing when I hold it about waist height but it does not stop whenI raise it up over my head. Are your clamps tight at your shutoff and at the tip?
