Uniforms or not

What do the rest of the board think about wearing some form of Uniform etc,

I have been running my own Carpet & Upholstery cleaning business here in the UK for some 15 months now, and it seems that We're the only cleaner in our area to wear a uniform, our uniform consists of red Polo Shirt with embroidered Logo and business name, blue pre creased trousers and deck shoes, and in this cold weather we also wear embroiderd body warmers (between Jobs) One thing that I've found is the number of comments from customers saying how proffesional we look.

Even the Guy who works for me has offered to buy his own uniform.

Yes! I think uniforms are a must for professional cleaners. My clients all love it and some have even suggested wearing an ID badge as well. I live in las vegas nevada and there are a lot of people afraid of being scammed. What do you think of the id badge idea? I look forward to hearing from you.

Brett,

Both myself my Tech and the ladies who work for me on the Domestic Cleaning (Maid Service) side of the business, all have photo ID cards, I think that it does help prove to customers that we are the genuine item and not operating some form of scam, also its proven to be a boon to us regarding our elderly clients.
