Water Pressure Problem

I have a pressure washer which is not pushing any water through the pump. The pump itself seems to be in good condition, and the motor does run when the washer is turned on. The intake hose is not clogged and I am at a loss as to where to look next. Any help would be appreciated.

Need a lot more info. This sounds like an electric one, need make and model. How long have you had it? When did it last work? How long has it sat? Who used it last?

Adam,

I need more data, such as make & model.
Direct drive or belt driven pump, force fed inlet or
sucking from tank?

Thanks for the quick reply.

This is a electric pump, not belt driven, has a kerosene burner, sucking from a tank, model is Clarke/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Equalizer 385 BD. The washer has been around at least four years, probably much longer, and has been serviced in the past, the washer has sat since last fall and was winterized.

Hope that helps some

OK,

That should be a belt drive General pump,
try force feeding the pump, if that does not work
check for stuck check valves.

I assume you have tried running the unit with
you pressure hose off the machine.

I have had mud daubers nest inside hoses before,
the little buggers clog the hose up! :burn:

Problem found

I found the issue with the water pressure on my washer. The coiled water line that runs through the heating area of the washer has a nice rusted out hole in it. Thanks for all the help. I was wondering if anyone has any best bets for finding a replacement part of if I am better off looking at getting a new washer.

Adam,

Glad you found your problem,
not good news having a leaky coil however.
Give me a call I can give you quotes
on a replacement coil, and or new machine.

I have welded those colis and they have lasted for quite awhile>> On the OUTSIDE of the coil that is ... Never tried to weld a hole on the inside of the coil. either way thats a bummer!! Call Mark!

That's was my first thought when I discovered the leak but after tearing into a bit more, I quickly decided that a welding fix would be nearly impossible.

Thanks for all the comments and help
