I am new to the pressure washing industry. I am planning on doing residential only ( decks, drive-ways, houses)
I am going to be doing this part time.
What are the laws concerning water recovery. Is this something I need to do????
Thanks for any help you can give.

the best way to answer that question is to check with your local laws .. every state is different.. i have never had to "collect" any water doing res.... make sure you use all biodegradable soaps.. and you really should'nt have a problem.....

My experience has always been "Nothing but rain, in the drain". The soaps are not even the concern usually, it is what you are cleaning. Here in CA, even doing sidewalks, you can only use tap water, no heat, no soaps, and no cleaning of any petroleum products of any kind. You can not do any more than what the rain would normally remove, without reclaiming the water. And here it does apply to commercial or residential. There is no difference between the two.

Just my 2 cents worth. :)

Call the DNR and ask them about the laws concerning this. Be honest with them and explain what you are doing. They are pretty easy to work with at least around here.
