Water Tanks

Where can I find the most inexpensive water tank and what size should I start out with? Residential, cold water. I'm thinking 225 gal minimum. I want to get what I need without going nuts. Also, are most residential customers cool with using thier water source or do they expect you to bring your own? Looking forward to the round table and beating Celeste at darts. Roger is gonna kick my a@@ though. [moon]

P.S. Anyone out there looking to sell a 3000/4 cold water unit. Higher flow is better.

Hi Pete - I tried to send you a private message but I can't get into your public profile for some reason. I must be in some sort of newbie purgatory? I'm new in this business, too, and looking forward to meeting you at the roundtable. My darts live in my glovebox. We can vs Roger and Celeste for bragging rights and a round of cold ones.

cheers,

Hey Neil,

You'll probably want to team with my wife, she's better at darts than I am (she's English so she better be good). I'm working on my budget to kick this thing off in January. I'm trying to purchase everything for cash so I don't have yet another debt to worry about. After all, the main point of doing this, in addition to my regular job, is for more financial security. With any luck, I may be able to ween myself off of my current job and do this full time. I'm just trying to be prudent about the whole thing and deliver a quality product. My initial target market is a large area of very upscale residential properties a few mile away from me (Terry Bradshaw lives in this area). We'll see where it goes from there. [white]

Hi Pete

You need to look at a couple of factors when hauling water. What will you be hauling it with, trailer or in a truck do not want to overload either. How big is your machine and how long do you intend to wash with it. They make tanks that fit in the back of a pick up that is molded to fit around wheel wells. If you are looking for a quick and inexpensive tank use a tote tank that would be 275 gallons. No matter what you pick just make sure you install a good water filter just before the machine for longest pump life. e-mail me for machine specs if your interested. jws.customerservice@covad.net

I could bring a perfect starter rig for you to the Roundtable. $4,000 for Landa Hot/Cold Unit(only 175 hours), Landa Surface Cleaner, 5x8 Trailer, 2 hose reels, hoses. No water tank on this rig. Perfect for starting out with residential and small commercial work.

When starting out you can save a lot on used equipment. I also can work out some terms if interested.

Thanks Jeff, I'll certainly give it some thought. Where are you located, do you have any pictures? I'm in the Ft. Worth, TX area.

Jeff, if you don't sell it prior, email me some photos and I'll attach them on the "reminder" emails that will go out a week prior to the Round Table :)

Jeff Robison,
You and Josh could meet in our neck of the woods(about equal driving distance for both of you) and we could all get together for lunch.

Just a thought.

Business is ok.We have some slow weeks but that is part of living in small twon America.
We picked up 5 garbage trucks last week(bi-monthly) and may be picking up some more commercial from a guy out of Atl. who drives down here to do them.

Did some one say darts?
I love darts. I almost want to go to the round table just beat up on some folks. Used to be rated a master, but may have fallen a little by now because I only get a chance to play a couple of times a week. For a couple of years there, my fiance and I would play tournaments just about every night, but that was a different day, different story. Of course I'm mainely talking electric darts which is much more popular in this area.

Roger plays in a league every week - one of the guys on his team was Nationally ranked couple years ago. We've got a screened porch set up with our dart board, bar and tunes...Who could ask for more? LOL

Ok, looks like I'm gonna save myself embarassment and drop out of the darts game. I'll just get comfortably numb in the corner. [drunk]
