Everyone was right, presentation IS everything. We have decided to get rid of trailers and go to just one truck with 2 units. Actually, this saved us some money and we think it looks great. It is tons better. It has even gotten us more business. A real attention getter. Even had one guy cut a U turn on a major 4 lane road when he saw us going the other way and he tracked us down just to look and ask for an estimate.

Everyone was so right, all we have been hearing over the last 2 weeks since the truck has totally come together is that it looks like we are very serious about cleaning.

This is just one great big thanks for everyone's help over the last few months.

Okay, I have a few questions. It looks like they are both RK-21's on your truck, Right? Also I saw the water tank, and wondered what size it is? I noticed that there is a space between the two RK-21's, is it just open or do you have some kind of storage there?
Also, do you use the tool box on the back for wand storage? And finally, is it a ten foot bed? Just curious, and I have to admit that I like the rig. Of course, it is a Ford with a powerstroke, What could be better?

Scott,
You are right, powerstroke diesel ford. The water tank is a 200 gal. feeding both units, we can run the truck with it full all the time without a problem. Truck weight limit is 12,500lbs. and we don't even have enough room to put enough weight to level out the bed.
To answer some questions about the rig. It is an 9 ft bed with headache rack the space between the units is for water hoses and sprayers. The silver box on the back is for wands and anything else we decide to carry extra. The underbody boxes have extra pressure hoses, water hoses, fire hose and meter. The 2 tool boxes have everything else in them. We already had everything on 2 trailers and it just happened to work out real great in moving it over. Still have to find room for a vice on it.
Believe it or not we found a web site about cars and had them look for a truck for us just for fun. Got this truck for 23,000 new and they even thru in the bed, it was great savings of about 7,000. Good payments and interest we couldn't pass it up.

Next time I think we will go for a 11 or 12 ft. bed.
Glad everyone likes it. We are really starting to enjoy it. Has a killer air conditioner.

We keep the chemicals in the big silver box under the wands and a 14 gal. sprayer between the units. Actually there is a lot of room between them.

Barry,
Thanks. We are having the guys that put on the bed build us a ladder rack. We are going to have to have one, maybe with a platform over the cab because we forgot about a place to put the spare tire and it will make a good standing platform too. The long wands go on the headache rack behind the water tank. We wanted a bucket truck, maybe next time. Right now they are a little out of our reach, they start at $16,000 for a used one without the truck.

We are glad everyone likes it, thanks for the comments.
Makes us feel a little better sending in that payment.

Indeed a great rig.

Wish I could convert my Dodge Ram to that sort of setup but I don't have dullies so the weight would be a problem.

Found On Road Dead? hehehe
Nice looking rig, my first question was where are the ladders, but it has already been answered. Isn't this board great? It's nice that we can post pictures like this so everybody can see. I think it would look better though with a Ram on the front. What do you think Jon..............?

I think that its one of the best looking rigs I have put my eyes on. One question do you keep it In a garage On down time Something that you had to have put a lot of thought and serious hard work in. I wish I had two just like it.

Hi Countryboync,
Welcome to the board.
We want 2 too. Hopefully by next year we can add another one just like it.
Actually we only looked at trucks for fun and never really planned on getting one right now. Deal was just too good to pass up and we only really had 3 days to plan where everything would go. Already had it all on trailers, so atleast we were not out any extra money except for the rims, steps, alarm system and underbody boxes. The dealership paid for the flat bed. Retail was about $2,450 on it. Had to drive it without the bed for the weekend, wounder what the neighbors thought?

We keep the truck on the road every day and it stays in our driveway. We called code enforcement before we signed the papers to make sure it would be legal to have it at the house. We have a storage room at the house we use for an office and extra storage about 18x80 metal building with a/c and guard dog. It is starting to work out great this way. We don't like to get that truck out of our sight for long.

Hey guys that is one sharp looking outfit.I don't blame you about not letting it out of your sight to many dishonest people out there and to much money tied up in our business to have it just walk away.Did you say you found it over the net?

Hi Georgia,

Yea, we did find a site on the net about car shopping.
CarSmart.com . you put in what kind you are looking for and how far you are willing to drive. We only did it for fun and just put in 30 miles, basically only in town. They will send your request to the dealerships in your driving area with e-commerce departments. They are great, they have to send you a quote via e-mail. Then you can go see the one you like at a dealership near you. No floor salesman bull..... the e-commerce department salesmen only get a salary not commissions on the cars so you can save a lot of money and time bickering over the prices. We bought this truck and Jim's mother bought a car over the web in the same week. We will never buy another one the old fashioned way. We even told them if they were talking money down, high interest or truck with no bed then we would just walk away now. They ate the price of the bed, no out of pocket money and low interest on a commercial vehichel. Try it, I think you will love it.
