Chuck,

that stuff is nowhere near cheap. Go to: www.deckguide.com and buy some of Greg's stuff. It is cheap and will run circles around the stuff you buy at the paint store.

# is: 219-548-2670 for Greg

I don't buy anything from a paint store. I get it from my distibutor and your right its not cheap thats why i'm checking around for other stuff. I will only buy from someone outta state if they will send me free samples first. I'v been burnt to many times by products that didn't live up to the hype. I usally go through $600 worth of newagain every 2 months so if greg wants to send me some samples i'll be more than happy to switch.

i use chlorine on decks too, when they are grey . they come out fine. and it's cheap.but my chlorine(15%) cost over 3.00/gal.

Chuck,

I too also used to use New Again, till I found Northern Tool Roof & Deck Cleaner. Same formula, $9.99/gal or 5 gals for $45.

Having said that, I now use mostly Renew for decks and Roof Bright for roofs. I downstream the Roof Bright and use a backpack sprayer for the Renrew. The Renew is about $3/gal when mixed (and you can vary the strength) and the Roof Bright is about $4/gal. Both prices include the shipping. Northern is local, so no shipping.

Thanks for the kind words Jon!

Hi Chuck,

Email me your shipping address (not p.o. box) and I would be happy to send you samples of our entire product line. In a standard mix solution the TimberStrip Pro runs around $2.16 per gallon.

Have a Good Weekend!

Ron,
You will find your cleaning mix will work better if you swap the TSP with sodium tripolyphosphate.

Here in Northern Ca the best pro line is SuperDeck. A complete source for everything that has to do with decks.

Jon,

In unscientific tests I have conducted with various wood cleaning recipes, it has appeared to me that sodium tripolyphosphate seems to help get dirty wood cleaner than TSP mixed into my brew. Like I said, I have no scientific basis, just general observation. I've tried many combinations of various chems and have found a few that seem to work pretty well. There may well be commercially prepared versions that perform better, but as long as what I'm using is satisfactory, and material costs are lower, I'll stick with my own recipes. I do use a bit of TSP in my house wash mix, however.

Since all my recipes are for my own personal use, I don't spend too much time determining "why" something works or does not work, I just go with what works for my application. However I do look at MSDS sheets to try to ensure the chems I use are generally accepted as safe.

I really hate to be the BB police but you guys need to call Dan Flynn If you want to continue "pushing" your products ..

This is a different BB and the rules on advertising is different then the rest ..

this is why our e-mail and info. is blocked out ( for the most part )

e-mail Dan Flynn he can direct you on the rules better then me

Dan S,

Didn't realize you did wood restoration........

As for Greg's "pushing" of his products, I believe it was me that was "pushing" them. And if I recall, contractors are allowed to comment on other products per the rules of this board, as long as they are not selling them or have any vested interest in selling them. I may be wrong about this rule, I'll let you investigate it and tell me, you seem to have the time available.

I have nothing against Greg and the other guy what so-ever
