[hello] Does it have a certain protocol ? Is there some type of regulatory agency that has a specific way it needs to be done ? what equipment will i need in doing washouts and what will I charge for a mobile service for this distributor ? can it be done as a solo op. Thanks for any help!!! [white]

This usually means cleaning outthe interior of the trailer. A lot of stuff comes off the pallets as they are riding around in the back of trucks.
As for what you need, It depends on what they want. I have had people that wanted us to sanitize the back end of trucks with bleach, and others that just wanted the big chunks out.

For what it is worth, I would use cold water to do this. The steam from a hot machine will make it so you cannot see anything.

What kind of "food" are you washing out of it? As a former truck driver, I've hauled a lot of chicken and beef, and you can't just leave that waste lying around. (salmonilla)
You should probably check with your local Department on Evironmental Quality to make sure you won't get yourself in a bind.
That's assuming these are reefer trailers you're talking about.

Washouts usually run 6 to 35,like Scott said it depends,it being a food account I'm sure you'll find hotwater is a must. Some even want a acid wash done on the metal foors and lower sidewalls. The 35 is in the higher side of the trade but you'll earn every penny of it with a 2.2 gpm 5.5 rig, dried on blood isn't easy removed with coldwater, luck goes with ya.

Don't forget to wear a mask, the insides of trailers can become stiffling when you are at the front. Around here they sometimes haul trash one-way and foodstuffs the other. You don't want the stuff in your lungs. Trailers are easy enough to collect water from - get a 55 gallon trash can and tarp the back end into the can off the trailer. $35 is a great price. Don't dally too long and you'll make good money. I assume you plan to use hot water, it's necessary to clean that gunk.

I think you need more volume, more pressure,
and heat!

5 GPM @ 3000 PSI at 200 degrees should suffice. [hello]
