Yes i know it's made in Texas.
Ready Seal was made right after they bought some Gray Away from us then. It's a close knock off of Gray Away.

Shane,

Do you power wash decks, or do you employ their suggestion of spraying chlorine on the deck and rinsing it off?

=============================================

Direct quote from Texas Wood Products site:

"The solution should be left on the wood for 15 to 30 minutes and rinsed thoroughly.

The cleaning process will show the result immediately. The weathered, mildewed wood will be restored to almost the original color. Chlorine solutions bleach the wood to a uniform white color. "

NO I don't have to power wash the decks if they are re done every two years like normal with Gray Away.I use a bleach/water sollution and use and scrub brush where needed.
The only preasure washing I do is when I strip an "old"sealant off COMPLETELY or if I have a grayed deck to remove the gray film.It gives me a more even look in the grain.

Ready Seal is it.

Ready Seal, in Sun Brite's opinion, is the best sealer because 1) it is a penatrating oil that alows the wood to expell any trapped moisture. 2) it is not a coating, so is won't wear away from traffic. 3) it is made with a parafinic oil base, not linseed oil, so it doesn't contain sugars and starches for mildew to grow on. 4) It can be rained on in 10-15 after aplication and be walked through during aplication without harm. 5) It's incredibly easy to work with. 6) It not only provides superior water protection, but also supperior UV protection and comes in many colors. 7) It can be aplied in many ways (i.e. brush, spray, flat pad, roller, rag) This list is by far not complete, but I don't want to write a book to bore you with. I just feel it's too easy to say what's the best sealer with out really supporting it. I hope I've done that for you.

P.S. If you use Bleach in your cleaning procces (which is fine) don't forget to use a neutralizer/wood britner.

Not only do I use Ready Seal on decks/fence - but I restored two log homes with it also. - it was awesome -

1400 square ft home with deck took 18 man hours - Sprayed.

Used the light brown on one and the gold on the other.

Pierce at 410-381-8400 can help you.

When using - do not be shy with the product.

OK Shane, why do you use bleach? If you have been doing business that long, then you of all people should know how harmful bleach is to wood lignin.

The fence looks nice. What is your price per gallon for that stuff?

Well we use bleach to kill any mold or mildew in the wood.Is there a better way to kill the mold n mildew?
I have never had a problem using it ever in 10 years. The cleaning products we have used off the shelf contain bleach in the formula.
So we save lots of money using just bleach and we also make our own hydroxide stripper that removes everything even sikkens.
Thanks for the comment on the fence!
We charge 1.80 per linear ft.for 6 1/2 ft high fence
.60 sqft on decks and 2.00 to 3.00 per lenear ft on the hand rail

That explains the bleech perfectly. There really isn't any product out there that will kill mold and mildew spores like "outside" clorox. I must say I use just to kill mold and mildew spores, but not as a bleeching agent. That's a very good price on fences. Around here we are about 2.oo per linear foot and for decks it can range from .90 (from the new low ballers) to 2.00 a sf. I am at 1.35 per total sf.
