I saw newbie pete purchasing pool shock from pool stores in large quantity... Would pool shock be acceptable cleaner for wood decks/fences and vinyl siding?

Is the chlorine less safe then regular bleach (IE cholorox outdoor) ?

Rob, I'm not a big fan of cleaning with Chlorine except on roof's. Where are you at in the Mid Atlantic? I'm in PA and use three different places to get chemicals, being ETS in Philly, Restoration Direct in Harrisburg PA, and sometimes Penn Kleen in York, PA.

I am located in northern maryland, york is about a 2hr roundtrip from me and so is the supply place here in md...Just trying to find out out a closer or maybe even slightly cheaper alternative either mixing my own with readily available supplies or ordering online..
