Hello from Portland, Oregon! I am having a terrible time locating 10'x100' 2mil plastic sheeting. Any ideas as to where to locate it and purchase it..?? I've been looking at many home improvement centers but no luck. I'll buy it anywhere I can!

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks much!

It all comes down to how much you want. Under 20 rolls buy it from Home Depot. When you get into this buy direct. My opnion you should use 1.5 mil 8.5x200 and half mil for general coverage of kitchen tables and outlining equipment. 2mil for 12 ft for larger systems.

You can get it down to around $8.05 per roll at a pallet price for 8.5x200 @ 1.5 mil. 1.5 does the job and you save. I order around 70 rolls asst.

Most cities have plastic distributors that you can buy direct from. Cut out the middle man.

Thanks David

I didn't realize it was two years old. Actually, I am just getting use to the board. This is great!

I started in commercial kitchen systems cleaning field in 1984.. in Rochester New York..I left New York in 1990 to come to California..and no..I did not start a business here. Why?..CA is like a different country than where i'm from. I am presently in the RV industry. Technically..the RV industry has some pretty neat concepts that i wish I had the knowledge of way back when. For instance...keeping my equipment from freezing in between jobs. I remember having to keep the engine of my van running if I had more than four hours of wait time. The solution would have been to install a adjustable heat furness, that runs on propane..but what did I know.

I just found this board. I wish I had access to it when I was in the business. The lessons I have learned, just like most of you come from hard knocks. The topics that you address. I relate to. They never change.

For instance, my chemical of choice was also caustic soda. (the scares never go away) powder does not freeze and has a longer shelf life. If I somehow forgot to wear a hat..dish washing detergent was the best way to remove the grease from your hair. And I started my kitchen cleaning business in chinese restuarants..hehe. talk about a training ground. All issues intensified.

But what I really remember is being on a roof top in the wee hours. Most of the city sleeping. with power in my hands and determination to do what needed to be done. There was me..making it happen..it was sort of romantic :)
