This is excellent, the fact that the real leaders of the Indsutry who work the business and live it are the ones up for such nominations. It is difficult work to run a BBS. It should definitely go to one of the people listed.

Wow...

Dan, whatever you do, please do not delete this BBS or the contents of it. Folks have shared very valuable information here and this archive should be preserved.

I can't begin to tell you how much I have learned here, and how much I have enjoyed sharing with others, reading, emailing, and talking to others as a result of meeting them here.

You've listed quite a few folks who would do a wonderful job of continuing this BBS. I don't think you can make a bad choice, but I'm sure it will be hard to choose. I don't envy you that.

I hope your load lightens up soon. Sounds pretty intense.

Beth :)

p.s. my email isn't working today...thank you Bill Gates. Anyone who may have emailed us after about 8pm Friday night...we don't have it yet. BB~

Well, if that's why email isn't working, I'm glad. Maybe Microsoft is trying to be helpful.... I can send but I can't receive.

In the little time I'v known Beth I'v figured out she would be perfect to run this BBS. She seems to be dedicated to bettering this industry and is really good with cpu's. She is also highly involved in both the business and the labor side of running a pwer company. But no matter who ends up with it, the person who gets it deserves it.

Dan,

Even though I seldom submit a reply, I have come to enjoy this BBS. I have learned a great deal without always having to do the trial and error method myself, and have come to like some of the regular contributors (and dislike some as well). I vote for Beth with the reasoning that she has the knowledge, skills and commitment to tackle the task and continue to make this valuable site for knowledge, information and intertainment as well!

Just delete it all
No do not delete it
Mark M
Mark has done alot to get this board where it is, but does he have time or desire to have it?
Mike Hughes
What is the point of having two of the same boards, unless he can merge them into one
Beth
Has the skills to run it, but she is already to busy.
Greg R from Wood Care
Gregs hands are full and he already has a board
Bigboy
Jon
Dan S
These three fellows have the background in PWing to make it work, but do they have the time that it would take?
Sun Brite
For a price I suppose it could happen
PWNA
PWNA, what good would that do, they would have to charge even more since they have another board to maintain.
Scott Stone
Another fellow that has the background to make it work and the drive to make it the best of all boards. Scott get's my vote
Dave Olson
Dave also has the background to make this work, and his wife has the computer skills to back that up. I also give a vote for Dave.

And since Hot Water Wizard put his name on the ballot,
He is also a good choice with both the background and computer skill to make it work, but I do not think that Mark would be a Happy Camper.

Dan F any chance of narrowing down the list and letting us here about what direction that person is thinking about taking it in?
I hate to see this poll just turn into a "who's the most popular"
this site and others like it can help mould the future of the industry. Not just be a venue to sell product.
I know BETH want's it but who else on the list REALLY WANT'S IT?
Who else has the time and skill's to keep it going in the right direction?

I would be VERY open to stating what I would do with the BBS in a run-off. Right off the bat I can say it would NOT die.

Well, I for one really want it. As the previous Assistant Administrator, I worked really hard to make this board what it is today.......as evidenced by my continuing to be the number one poster on this board to date.

I was given an opporturnity to take over PWI last August, and if not for that, I would still be here right by Dan's side and there would be no question who would take over the board!

I have not decided entirely what my intentions are for the board. I consider the database of information here to be of the upmost importance, and I would never let anything happen to that.

We need to revitalize this board and bring it back to its once great status. I think there are too many public bulletin boards for pressure washing. Potentially, it seems like I might be the only person in a position to actually do something about it! I would consider merging the boards........but I am not positive how that would work. There are a lot of details that would have to be worked out before that could ever happen. Only time will tell.

Initially, I would like to just focus on bringing this one back to life.........and to reduce the amount of hush hush that occurs on this board. If a sponsor wants me to sit here and act like their's is the only product on the market, well I won't. And I will encourage others to do the same. Why can't more boards be like PWI? We've proven it works...........and if you draw alot of traffic to the board, what sponor wouldn't want to be a part of that?...........regardless of whether you police every third word that is posted or not.

The other thing we need to do is end the bickering and name calling..........I have done a fair job of cleaning up PWI and I intend to do the same thing here.

An open, PROFESSIONAL, lively community...........that is what most people enjoy, and that is the future of PWN if given to me.

I look forward to it.

Dear members and readers,

While I have not been a BBS administrator, I moderate on 4 BBS's and have offered help in many forums. I feel my technical background would allow me to administer this BBS well. I was in high tech for 14 years, and not just selling folks... One office I worked in was a regional office and had 25 folks on a LAN that was connected to our headquarters via WAN on a T1 line. I was in sales, but since the folks in MIS felt Iwas the most technical sales person on the staff, it fell onto my shoulders to perform all troublshooting for PC's, software, LAN issues and the like while selling.

I have worked hard on various BBS's to maintain the order and professionalism that I believe to be important. I've been a part of the success of many BBS's.

This BBS would be preserved, all the data would be intact, and posting would CONTINUE. I would work hard to promote this BBS and to see to it that traffic is driven to it. There are valuable areas on this BBS that are underutilized today. My primary goal would be to try to increase readership, improve professionalism, and increase awareness in various cleaning industries so that we may all learn and grow.

I have worked hard for a long time to educate and improve the industry. This is the primary reason I was so very involved in BlastMaster, and it is why I am working on bringing it back to life in the Grime Scene. I believe this BBS would be a wonderful FREE tool for folks to gather both news and information about a topic in many areas that would help them grow. I have worked hard to assist the PWNA as well. The seminar I gave last fall was at our own expense, and I didn't get paid one single penny folks. I'll add that we are doing it again in Las Vegas.

I am the kind of person that takes this kind of approach in all areas of my life. I am dedicated. Parenting, teaching, running a business, these are all a part of who I am and what I am about. I have a passion for writing and feel that the information here is priceless. It's all been a beautiful gift that we have given to one another.

If given to me, I would keep it alive, not merge it or delete it or lock it down from future posts. It would thrive and I would do everything in my power to see to it that it becomes the forum that its member want it to be, and that others who have not yet visited it, will find and want to come back to for YEARS.

I look forward to the opportunity of leading this BBS.

Respectfully,
Beth

That would create havoc. Ever visit PWI last year??

In any potential merging situation, PWN would remain intact.

Jon, you need to remember that in the end, the decision is Dan's and no one elses...........this poll is not the decision maker. Just an aid.

I feel the number of posts should have NOTHING to do with any decisions made. Quality should be the gauge, If you search a users posts and read them it becomes quite clear who the professional acting person(s) with a true intrest in advancing everyones knowledge are. Maybe this whole hypothetical survey thing has gotten slightly out of hand. Dan is entitled to make his decision based on his gut feelings and I think he is smart enough to know who will run it best.

Just for the record, I do not want the board. I could have had the PWI, with no cost to me, because it was offered to me at least a half dozen times before Mike got it. I did not want it then, and I don't want it now. I don't like even the appearance of me being beholden to someone. And Ron literally was going to step out of the picture and let me have it. The only way I would have done it. It would have just been done on his nickle. I also have a business to run that is a 24/7/365 day a year proposition. I usually have at least one guy working, and have no desire to have the additional hassle of solving the bickering and back biting that happens on this board, and every other board in existence.
I would not delete the board, but you do not want to know what I would do if I had the board. I also do not want any potential financial responsibilty from the board.

Let Jon,(who declined), Beth, Mike or Mark have it. If Mark would open up mentioning distributors names, he would have my vote hands down. That won't happen. Mike has too many boards already, and Beth is out in the field a lot, where she does not have the time. She just does not realize that yet.

Besides that Dan would rather eat worms than let me have it, I am thinking.

Good grieve !

Mike how in the world can you devote all your time plus doing your business.? How many BB's do you need to run?

It's funny the 2 that has the most votes think that they have it ..

re-read Dan's first post ......... and dont count your chickens before they hatch .

Im just happy that I got 3 votes....

I dont think nothing should change here no-matter who gets the helm ..

This wasn't meant to be a circus and in my mind I don't see how you can say it is Jon. Putting names in a hat and pulling one out is like saying I never cared and or could careless about the future on this bbs. I know who can and can't truly handle this bbs.

But it takes more than time and computer skills. So when I figure it out. I will ask that person to discuss the situation. If people want to express there thoughts on what they would do with it. I think that's a good thing.

If people don't that's ok too. But the members are a big part of the community and the reason why this is the best bbs on the internet.

This poll alone will not be the deciding factor. It's also not a popularity contest. That's ridicules. Not everyone likes the president. That doesn't mean they are going to leave the country.

I encourage the posts and votes from everyone. I think it's important to hear what the members think.

So take it easy everyone. Also if people choose to leave because Im interested in the members view. That's too bad they feel that way!.

Have a great day

Scott,
Beth isn't out in the field alot. Beth is in the office alot. But it's funny that you should mention being out or away, since I previously had another full time job and also my responsabilities here, and still donated time to the BBS's I moderate on. In or out isn't the issue. Managing your time is important, and that, I do know how to do. I also don't currently have any BBS's to administer.

My email is down, all I can do is send. Anyone who wants to email me can reach me at bethborrego@hotmail.com until MSN is working right again... the server here seems to be having problems.

I am not going to go on and on about how qualified I am,..................... or any of that !

(I will however respond to any questions on the subject)

Dan Flynn knows what I am made of, my beliefs, and my ideas for this board.

The decision is his and his, and I am confident he will make a good decision!
