You pull up and unload your gear. It is hot and there is no wind blowing to cool the sweat. You work for hours without a break. The wand feels as if it weighs 100 pounds and your grip is getting weak. The hot water drips down your arm and you shake your head when you just know that you have to extend the extension wand another 10 feet. Your shoes are soaked, your hair sticks to your hat and your throat aches for a drink of cool water.
You clean and pack the last of the hose, pails and wands. You knock on the door and your customer comes out and stands in front of the house. You look with him and he turns to you and says.....wow....wow....I can't believe how clean and how new it looks....WOW-he says again. The smile on my face lasts until I jump into a hot shower.
That is why I do this work. I can do something else to make money, to feed my ego or control my time. But the ~wow~ is worth a million.
