Simple fact Beth you think you can walk all over us by breaking whatever rules you have been told about several times, like a kid would do.Everybody should know the rules of this board altho some do not realize they have done wrong but YOU beth KNOW better, how many times now.

If Gwas doesn't know how to copy and paste maybe someone needs to show him how.

It doesn't bother me who or who does not join the pwna, that part I could care less about. What bothers me is someone in the pwna breaks the rules they know they shouldn't as to show others its how the pwna is run. What bothers me is someone in the pwna running someone down and looking for something just to start a fight.

Simple fact some in the pwna are trouble starters and makers if you do not agree with them or let them have their ways.Simple fact they keep alot of others from joining the pwna, some things are SO simple fact we both can look though things, simple fact.

PRO OR ANTI

I have just come across this thread. What a long sun-of-a-gun.
Our first PWNA show we went as non-members and paid the non-member price. The reason was to invest into a duel-man pressure washing unit, and not to many manufactures made them at that time. We heard about a pressure washing supplier of having a booth at the Orlando show in yr. 2000.
The machinery was everything we wanted and more! That was my only interest of the show, nothing else. But guess what I found around a 100 humans like myself that had the same passion as what I have about Pressure Washing and business ethics. So, I came back for the second day
and enjoyed it much more than the first day.
We got interduced to suppliers, new pressure washing toys and a hole lot of new ideas with just personel small talk.
I know its all a matter of your choice, but it helped out our business to take it to the next level. We have found a place to help take off those painful times of trial and error and save a ton of time and money to find out the hard way. The pwna has interduced us to the proper market of contacts. Now, we can stop wasting time to find proper people and work on making more $MONEY$.

I hope no one bites my head off for saying that we are now Members.

Have a nice Christmas,
Tony

You know what I think is really stuipid? To make a big deal about putting periods rather than commas in an URL....I mean, who gives a rat's ass whether someone can click on the link or whether they have to type it in manually...the information is there for them to use either way....Sounds like a lot of whining over nothing to me. But hell, rules is rules, right?

Dan:

If the PWNA is set up like any other non-profit organization I've been involved with, there is no owner. There is a Board of Directors, who make the decisions, and often people who are hired to run the day to day operations, but there is no one individual who "owns" the organization.

I'll pass

I know I'll pass on the pwna for now.
I don't want to be affiliated with people that think because they are members, they are more professional than any other Pwer in the industry.
It seems as though the pwna would not want that kind of image being projected by it's memebers.Talk about bad public relations.

Dan,
Stick with it,you raised some of the very concerns to Doc,John and other pwna members I had myself.I have seen enough to realize that I don't have a need to join for quite a while.

To whom it may concern:

Mention this the next time you have a gathering of PWNA executives. Open enrollment, FREE membership to all for 12 months, FREE admission to all conventions for the same 12 months. That way anyone sitting on the fence would have the opportunity to see what it's all about and decide wether to pay to join the next year. Just buy mailing lists and send FREE one year memberships to anyone in or thinking of entering the business. Mention it on all the BBSs. If it's all that, you'd have more members than you'd know what to do with and you'd be the PWna hero.

By the way, Dan S, I Hear from a fellow who is a member that
John Torturro AKA John T is running for a spot on the PWNA board of directors. I think they are booting Mike Hughes off.

Well, its now 1am and I could only make it half way through this thread...............but let me interject that Board of Director positions are for a set number of years, and mine does not expire until 2005.

I hope all is well with everyone here on PWN.

Everything here is well, hope all is doing as well.

I hear tell there is a rumor going around town,is it true your setting down? or are you going for the set number of years? For John to be wanting to run for a term,Who's term is up? Are they going to give the term up or run again for another set number of years term? IS Jon also going to run?

For folks who seem to have no interest in the PWNA, y'all seem to have quite an interest in the PWNA....

PWNA

Mike,
I think that most of us that are non members are looking for the pros and coms of joining.
The pwna may be a great Org.,but it will not fit into everyones plan for their business.
At this time I don't see it fitting into the plan for our business but,how is anyone going to make an informed decision about joining or not, unless conversations like this take place on a regular basis.
I see great potential for the pwna and I hope it all falls into place someday but until then this topic will arise over and over.
