Mark - there is an amazing event coming up in Charleston SC next week immediately following the CETA Power Clean 2010. There should be no less than 150 contractors there for you to network with not to mention the topics & speakers!

Hi Everyone,
I have a mobile truckwash company here in PA. I was looking for a site that had some tips from some pros who have been doing this for a long time. Seems like this is that place. Great site!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Torrey Shannon and I am here thanks to an invitation by Carlos, whom I have great respect! I have been in the cleaning industry for a number of years, but my biggest role (aside from being the wife of a combat-injured veteran) is working with a program called Cleaning for Heroes. I am the Executive Director and Spokesperson and appreciate the value of our program in a variety of ways.

Cleaning for Heroes is the only 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides free housecleaning, maintenance and repair services to elderly and disabled veterans and first responders in need. Many heartfelt requests come in to our program from service members and heroes that want to maintain their dignity and their home.

I hope to connect with like-minded people on this board to discover ways we can work together in communities across the nation. You can check out our site at Home to learn more or request an application to join. I'll post more about our program in another thread as well. I just wanted you to learn more about who I am and why I am here.

On a personal note, I live wayyyy up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with my husband and children but stay very busy despite my remote location. :) I am actively involved in a variety of media outlets as an expert on veteran care issues, but always find time to cherish the blessings that I have. I feel blessed to be here with you all!

Torrey,

Welcome to PWN and thank you for your tireless efforts in promoting Cleaning For Heroes. As many will attest from our industry, Cleaning For Heroes is such a worthwhile cause. I personally encourage and expect our fellow pressure washing contractors to throw their support behind Cleaning For Heroes in their efforts in providing cleaning services for our veterans, police and fire!

Torrey, please feel free to post and keep all of us here at PWN updated on how we can stay involved.

New to boards - Hi, I'm Tanya

I am new to the industry, I started with Cleaner Times Magazine in August, and I have a lot to learn. I’m hoping reading what is important to you guys will make me a better sales rep and make Cleaner Times a better magazine. Maybe I’ll gain some inside and perspective and I might accidentally be able to help you guys out too. I have a lot of experience in a lot of different fields...I mean a lot of different fields.

Managed Transmission Shop

Yep, I'm not afraid to do anything. I am willing to learn all I need to in order to do a good job. If there is anything I can do to help you or if you have any suggestions for me, just ask.

Thanks,

Tanya

Tanya...welcome to PWN. I have had the pleasure of meeting Chuck last year and have spoke to Jim on numerous occasions over the years. Cleaner Times is a top notch publication in which I personally support. The monthly magazine offers a unique look into the many business modalities that make up the cleaning industry as a whole. Cleaner Times reporting/articles have yielded that necessary balance of both the end user (pressure washing contractor) and the distributor/manufacturer. I applaud CT in sustaining this over the years.

Your credentials are vast and I suspect you will fit right in with the gang at Cleaner Times and most certainly here on the Power Wash Network. We welcome you and all from Cleaner Times and let us know here if there is anything that we can do to make your visits a little more comfy.

Welcome aboard and please give our regards to Chuck and Jim.

Glad to be here !

Board looks GREAT !

Question, Can we get a garage cleaning section up? I do not see one.

Hey Jim...at this time we are not creating any new sections on the forum. Maybe at a future date we will reconsider this. This should not preclude you from posting.

Hi everyone!

I'm Allison Hester. I was the managing editor of Cleaner Times Magazine from 1994-1998, then came back to CT part-time in 2009.

My best industry friend, Steve Stephens of HydroTech Pressure Cleaning Technologies, are starting a new online magazine for contractors, by contractors -- Pressure Cleaning Contractor. We hope to launch this next month! It will cover all aspects of the contract cleaning industry and be written primarily by folks like you all.

We have also just released our first book, The Pressure Cleaning Bible: Marketing, and we're getting great reviews.

I just found this board tonight, but plan to stop by regularly. I look forward to getting to know you all.

We are here to serve you!
