I am looking to buy some used equipment and wanted some opinions on it.
Hydrotek washer 3500 psi 6.5 gpm 30 hours
diesel burner 250 deg
25 hp kubota engine
12' tandom trailer
350 gal tank
250' HP hose
100' garden hose
2 hose reels on the back of the trailer
surface cleaner 24" I believe

Do you think it is worth $7000

Yes, I do think its worth it.............but see if you can get him down in price. I mean, afterall, it is used. Everything looses value the moment you buy it............

Hydrotek washers are not cheap.........I bet that machine alone costs $5500 new..........I could be wrong.

Tandem axle trailer.......umm.........$1500

Surface cleaners at least $600

Water tank..........couple hundred.

Hose reels..........$200 -$300.....maybe more

Sounds like a decent buy. It's also cool that it is all set up for you ............you dont have to mess around with mounting equipment.

Talk to some Hydrotek dealers and find out what this setup would cost you new, and base your decision on that.

Keep in mind that many manufactureres are using the very same parts to build their machines.............pumps for example.......you can find the same brand and model number pump in a wide variety of machines.........

To the best of my knowledge, Hydrotek is a good product. Without a doubt, there are worse out there.........

I am on my second Hydrotek pw and I wouldn't trade it for anything else. Customer service is excellent, and the units will take quite a beating. The few minor problems that I have ever had were very easy to fix.

All Hydrotek uses are CAT pumps. They last. Better than any other pump I have ever had on other pw.

Just my experience.

I have an Elite with a Cat Pump and a Briggs engine. Pretty much trouble free, 6 years on that unit. I never heard anything bad about Hydrotek. Except they are over priced. You will get a good machine.

But you can get the same way cheaper. Sounds like a catch 22! I love the Cat Pump. Never had a problem with them.

everybody should know by now >>>>>>>
you get what you pay for.......if you want to buy junk get a no-name ......... if you want to buy the best get one with a good reputation.......sure those cheap 2000>> 3000 works but......... why would you want to buy them when you know that you are going to make money with it.........
im not going to praise one over the other ............i look at it this way though............... whatever i choose to buy, i do alot of research before i do ....like Tams is doing now.......those cheaper units are cheap for a reason.........and the better units are more money for a reason...( in most cases)

Our Hydrotek has lasted us about 12 years and is still making us money. Only minor repairs over the years. It's a trailer mounted 5gpm 3000psi 18hp B&S with 140 rise on the burner. Our cost for this was over $7k 12 years ago "factory direct". Hydrotek only uses quality parts and that Kubota engine is usually worth a couple grand more. I would say that the same equipment you are describing would run about $15k new.
