Fellow brother, sisters from our pressure washing community,

What the best solution or mixture to clean and kill mildew, etc....from a wooden deck without removing existing stain?

Would you use a regular garden hose to wash away mixture or a pressure washer with a low pressure nozzle?

Thank you!

What stain is on it? pics?

Well unless it's a solid stain you will remove some color if it's been a some time since last stained with a semi transparent stain etc.

I think the easiest mix to make is 1 part bleach 4 parts water and some soap spray it on and let it dwell you should see any mildew disappear. If that's not strong enough add another gallon of bleach. Are you using 12% ? The strength really depends on using 12% or household bleach?

You can use a soft bristle brush and scrub the harder places or hit the tougher areas a second time to clean then rinse real good. If you want to keep as much color as you can use a water hose and not a pressure washer. Pressure washers help if the cracks are real dirty but you will take color off.
